Managing Director of Mental Health Services

Location: Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA)


Our confidential client is a non-profit organization that supports the LGBTQI2S communities. They are accepting applications for a skilled leader who is driven to deliver results. Under the direction of the Executive Director and working collaboratively with this non-profit organization’s leadership team, the Managing Director will be a key leader in mental health program building and providing strategic leadership for this growing organization. The successful candidate will bring operational oversight for mental health services and hands-on capabilities required to deliver services with excellence.


We are seeking to meet candidates who have:

  • Minimum 5-7 years in the social services sector, with 3-5 years senior leadership experience and 2-3 years experience in staff management
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work or an equivalent social service degree
  • Extensive experience in working with youth mental health services and youth programs
  • Experience in creating and implementing clinical therapeutic programming
  • Proven ability in building high performing teams and leaders, inspiring them to acquire new skills and drive for results
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, experience with persuading audiences, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment

  • A results-oriented and organizational-focused approach with a commitment to executing effective strategies that deliver results
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and monitor key performance indicators related to organizational goals and visions


Additional Requirements:

  • Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Police Check Program
  • Must be qualified to legally work in Canada
  • Ability to both work from home and at the organization’s office
  • Ability to travel to other community-based settings as needed


Salary and Benefit Information:  $90,000 - $115,000 commensurate with experience
