Deborah Legrove, BA, CFRE

President

As the President of crawfordconnect, Deborah connects nonprofit organizations with the talent they need to drive success.A natural networker and relationship builder, Deborah began placing talent for her clients in 1999.  In every search she executes, she brings  her unique understanding of all positions in nonprofit.  She uniquely understands that she is placing people who help organizations change the world.After 25 years in this nonprofit sector that she finds immensely rewarding, Deborah has worked at all levels. She has served as Chief Executive Officer of a healthcare foundation, and advised senior leadership in multiple complex capital campaigns in both Canada and the USA.  She has worked with over 50 organizations raising literally millions of dollars for her clients.Deborah is an active volunteer.  She has been a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Toronto Chapter, The Dorothy Ley Hospice and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Golden Horseshoe Chapter.Deborah is an accomplished speaker as well.  In 1996, she won the world effective speaking competition for the Junior Chamber International in South Korea. She continues today as a frequent speaker and trainer at conferences.Deborah is a graduate of the University of Guelph, and a Certified Fundraising Executive.

 

Linda Samis, BA, B Ed

Senior Consultant

As a senior consultant with crawfordconnect for the past ten years, Linda is responsible for executive search, organizational development and job search strategy coaching. Linda brings over 25 years of varied and extensive experience in the fields of education, workplace learning and performance and non-profit fundraising and program management. For over ten years she held progressively senior positions with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario followed by a career in consulting where she has provided services to such organizations as The Easter Seal Society of Canada, Seneca College, The Social Planning Council of Toronto and Parkinson Society Canada some of the over 50 clients she has worked with in such areas as strategic planning; organizational audits, job search and selection hire procedures, client services management, , staff performance systems, team and project development, change management and interim executive placements.  Linda received her BA from McGill University and her Bachelor of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. As well, she completed the Voluntary Sector Management Program at Toronto’s York University and is a certified True Colors and Personality Dimensions trainer and a certified job search strategy coach. She has also served as a faculty member of the Social Planning Council of Toronto Training Institute and as the organizational consultant for the Canadian FundRaiser, NonProfit Management Information Services.

 

Barbara Lubarsky, Bcomm

Consultant

Barbara has been in executive search since 2000. Her passion for the search industry has built her expertise across a broad spectrum of organizations, most notably in the non-profit sector. Barbara is client focused, service oriented and committed to achieving quality results. Barbara is also an experienced Human Resources professional with a versatile generalist background. Prior to her career in search, Barbara held various Human Resources senior management roles in such leading organizations as University of Toronto, Manulife Financial and Suncor Energy. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.
